Packaging is fairly consistent with most Silverstone products I've had the chance to review. That is, a black box with primarily white lettering along with other colour highlights. A picture of the power supply being overcast by a large wind turbine helps suggest the "eco friendly" nature of this power supply. The front and back of the box are clones of each other with the sides being where they list some basic info about the power supply itself.

The power supply is a fairly standard looking black powder coated chassis with even the fan grill being black as well. Silverstone's choice of using a black sticker with white text on the left side of the power supply will be a little more subtle looking for those with a windowed case. I sometimes see supplies with eye-sore stickers that often stand out when the user has a windowed case. The bottom of this power supply has a large Silverstone logo stamped across it diagonally with the remaining sides all being plain black.

The ST65EF is cooled with a single 120mm Silverstone branded fan, although not many specifications of this fan are given, Silverstone does state that it's noise level will range from 19dBA up to 35dBA. The fan is thermally controlled so it will automatically adjust to cool the power supply accordingly. Airflow is primarily vented out the honeycomb grill on the back of the power supply although there are also some vertical slits on the opposite end of the power supply that resides inside the case.
