Features:
The LC13-E is available in either black or silver colours - our review model will be the black one. As you can see in my pictures the colour choice is uniform across the entire case including the large brushed aluminum bezel and door on the front. This door opens downward and is magnetically latched when closed so you don't need to worry about it falling open. When opened it reveals two 3.5" drive bays and two 5.25" bays as well as two USB ports, two audio ports and a firewire port. This setup will give you lots of room for addon components (something most HTPC cases lack). Directly below the door is the power button and status LED's). Both sides of the case have small ventilation grills to keep good airflow through the case and to the power supply. The top cover opens by removing four screws at the back. This cover wraps around each side by about one inch which keeps the top clean looking without any separation lines.

If you swing the case around to either side you'll see two screw holes set slightly back from the front bezel plate. This allows you to install Silverstone's rack mount handles which are fully compatible with the LC13-E. Being able to rack mount a case like this can put it into a whole new genere of uses. I've always liked a sleek looking rack case in my studio as opposed to the usual server cases people buy when they need something rack mountable.
