Features:
The Piranha is what Razer classifies as a "gaming communicator" which is essentially just your typical headset with sound optimizations made for gaming and of course unique gamer looks to it as well.

The ear pads aren't the full-size style that completely cover your ear like most headsets. Rather, they sit snugly on top of your ears. The ear pads themselves are quite comfortably padded as well as the top band of the headset that sits across the top of your head. They use a solid frame design, so don't expect any collapsible features to transport them easier. The outer side of either ear cup has a large Razer logo that lights up when the USB power connector is plugged in. You can see this in action in some pictures later in the review.

The mic boom itself rotates on a 90 degree pivot on the left side of the headset. Being just a straight rubber arm, it is quite stylish to look at. The mic is your typical unidirectional condenser mic like most headsets use. With this style of mic it doesn't need to be right in front of your mouth like most users think, it will pick you up just fine where it's located. Having a frequency response of 80-15000Hz, it will also be a very clear sounding mic and won't filter out certain frequencies like cheaper mics are known for.

To give you full control over your listening and talking experience without having to alt-tab out of your game to adjust the settings in Windows there is a convenient control pod located about two feet down the cable from the headset. This small control pod has a spring-clip so you can easily attach it to your clothing so you don't have to reach for it during those crucial moments in-game. On the one side of the round, blue-lit Razer logo there is a mic on/off switch and on the other side is a volume dial for the headset itself.
