Since 1985 when PC Power & Cooling first opened their doors in a small warehouse in San Diego, they've been keen on making high performance power supplies for the PC industry. Their 'Silencer' series followed not long after, being introduced to the market in 1986. Now, 25 strong years later, the Silencer series is still going strong, with two new models just recently hitting the market. One of those models is the Silencer 760W; a model where PC Power & Cooling went back to a single 80mm fan design over the 135mm design used in the Silencer MKII series. The new Silencer 760W is also 80PLUS Silver certified, and packed with more than enough cables for even the most demanding of systems.
The Silencer series has been around for so long because of one reason; it's a reliable, dependable and high performance supply that's come to gain the attention of PC users in all corners of the market. Being one of my first experiences with the Silencer series, I'm excited to see what the new Silencer 760W has to bring to the table in todays review.
